Thank you parents!

Dear parent(s) of Primary 1C 2011,
I would like to express my greatest gratitude for all your support and partnership with me in the learning journey of your child this year.  I had a wonderful year with you and your child. It is indeed heartwarming to see your child’s progress and development in both academic and non-academic areas from the P1 Orientation Day last year/ the first week of school to the end of Term 4.
All these would not be possible without you. I am really glad to be your child’s first form teacher in his/ her primary school days.
I truly enjoyed teaching this class. Though I may not be your child’s form teacher next year, do feel free to communicate with me should you face any issues.
Thank you so much once again and do continue to support your child in his/her learning.

Warmest wishes,
Miss Kimberly Koh

Useful information for assessment matters

1.) How much marks are assigned for each type of exam like Oral, Written and Practical for English and Maths.
Pupils have been given a form regarding the weightage of marks in Term 1 after the Parents' briefing. You may refer to the class blog. http://2011primary1c.blogspot.com/ Dated 22 January 2011.
2.) What is the exam syllabus?
An SOW( Scheme of work)  for EL are given every Term. SOW for Term 2  will be given this week.
Follow the topics in the Maths Textbook for 1A for Maths or you may refer to the Maths Syllabus in MOE Website http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/syllabuses/sciences/ ( Mathematics 2007)
3.) What should we get the students to study for the exam, since all the books are in school?
Files will be returned at least twice a term. Stellar booklets are returned at the end of every chapter but will be collected for filing. Both workbooks 1A Part 1 and 2 will be returned at the end of Term 2 to keep. (unless required for checks by the school)
You may use the Maths textbook, SOW and  Syllabus in MOE website (www.moe.edu.sg) for revision.
Class tests/ reviews are given randomly/ at the end of the topic  to assess their understanding of the current topics taught and would not require any prior revision. There is only written exams in Term 4.
